Fall 2022 – Spring 2023
For both the fall and spring semesters of my final year in college, I was able to work as a Social Media Intern for the Fine Arts Division of Texas Woman's University. I worked under the gallery director to create promotional material for the gallery exhibitions. While following brand guidelines, I designed a flyer for each exhibition, and after design approval and the "OK" from marketing, I then converted my design to fit different sizes for both print and web: Tabloid, Letter, Instagram, Facebook Event Banner, Pioneer Engage (TWU's event page), and for digital signage in the student union. I have included below some of my work from this internship, but if I were to pick one strongest piece, I would say the "MFA Exhibition" poster is my best. I was allowed to push the boundaries of our usual "corporate" style and go for something a bit more artistic. I wanted to highlight the work of the two Masters candidates in an unconventional way and provide a "sneak peek" rather than showing off the entire work, so I used photos of their work as a drop shadow for the letters "MFAX" to accomplish my goal.
