Fall 2022
This project was a collaboration with my Community-Focused Design Studio class, with the class dividing up into smaller teams to tackle different aspects of the project. Our client was Greater Denton Arts Council and we were tasked with creating promotional material for the exhibition titled "The Forgotten Nine", which included works from former professors at Texas Woman's University and highlighted their impact on the art department at TWU. My team was tasked with creating posts and reels that could be uploaded to Instagram to highlight each of the nine artists featured in this exhibition. We worked with our client throughout this project to present our preliminary design, revisions, and had a final client meeting where we presented our work. We chose to go with a scattered polaroid layout that showed both pictures of each artist along with photos of her respective work. Another concept we wanted to explore was the idea of being "forgotten to history", so while each post has two portraits, one has a halftone effect to make the identity less clear. In addition to creating these posts and reels, my team also drafted what to include in the caption of each post and left detailed instructions for our client in regards to posting on Instagram. Shown below are two of the nine Instagram posts that were created for this project.
